3.10.4. Check and grinding of saddles of valves

The form of facets of saddles of valves is shown in fig. 3-43 and 3-44.
On working facets of saddles (a zone of contact with valves) there should not be dot sinks, corrosion and damages. Small damages can be eliminated with grinding of saddles. At the same time remove as little as possible metal. It is possible to grind as manually, and by means of the grinding machine.
Grind in the following order:
— establish a head on a support of A.60353, insert a core of A.94059 into the directing valve plug and clear facets of saddles of a deposit vertical drills of A.94031 and A.94092 for saddles of final valves and vertical drills of A.94003 and A.94101 for saddles of inlet valves. A vertical drill are put on a spindle of A.94058 and are aligned by the directing core of A.94059;

Cores of A.94059 exist two various diameters: A.94059/1 — for guides втупок inlet valves and A.94059/2 — for the directing plugs of final valves.

— put on a spring of A.94069/5 the directing core of A.94059, establish on a spindle of A.94069 a conic circle of A.94078 for saddles of final valves or a circle of A.94100 for saddles of inlet valves, fix a spindle in the grinding machine and a proshlifuyta a saddle of the valve (fig. 3-45).
At the time of contact of a circle with a saddle the machine has to be switched off, otherwise there will be a vibration and the facet will be wrong.
It is recommended to a thicket to make editing of a circle diamond.

For saddles of final valves bring width of a working facet to the sizes specified fig. 3-44, a vertical drill of A.94031 (a corner 20 °) and a vertical drill of A.94092 with which the peening on internal diameter is eliminated. Vertical drills are put on a spindle of A.94058 and also, as well as when grinding, are aligned by a core of A.94059.

At saddles of inlet valves bring width of a working facet to the sizes specified fig. 3-43 at first having processed an internal facet a vertical drill of A.94003 (fig. 3-46) before obtaining the size O / ZZ, and then a facet 20 ° a vertical drill of A.94101 before receiving a working facet 1,9-2 mm wide.
