3.11.1. Adjustment of a gap between levers and cams of the camshaft

Regulate gaps on the cold engine, previously having adjusted a belt tension. After adjustment the gap has to be 0,14–0,17 mm.
You make adjustment in the following order:
— turn a bent shaft clockwise before coincidence of a tag on a camshaft asterisk with a tag on the case of bearings that will correspond to the end of a step of compression in the fourth cylinder. In this situation the gap at the final valve of the 4th cylinder (the 8th cam) and the inlet valve of the 3rd cylinder (the 6th cam) is regulated;
— weaken a lock-nut of an adjusting bolt of the lever;

— insert the flat A.95111 probe 0,15 mm thick between the lever and a cam of the camshaft and a wrench turn or unscrew a bolt with the subsequent tightening of a lock-nut until at the tightened lock-nut the probe enters with easy jamming (fig. 3-54);
— after adjustment of a gap at the final valve of the 4th cylinder and the inlet valve of the 3rd cylinder consistently turn a bent shaft on 180 ° and regulate gaps, observing the sequence specified in table 3-5.
