3.9.3. Radical and conrod necks

Check. Establish a bent shaft on two prisms (fig. 3-36) and check the indicator:
— beating of radical necks (the most admissible 0,03 mm);
— a beating of landing surfaces under an asterisk and the bearing of a main shaft of the transmission; the most admissible 0,04 mm;
— shift of axes of conrod necks from the plane passing through axes of conrod and radical necks (the most admissible ±0,35 mm);
— not perpendicularity in relation to an axis of a bent shaft of a face surface of a flange. At a shaft provorachivaniye, the indicator installed sideways at distance of 34 mm (fig. 3-36) from a shaft axis, should not show beats more than 0,025 mm.
On radical, conrod necks and on cheeks of a bent shaft of a crack are not allowed. If they are found, replace a shaft.
On the surfaces of a bent shaft interfaced to working edges of epiploons scratches, zaboina and risks are not allowed.
Measure diameters of radical and conrod necks. Necks should be ground if their wear is more than 0,03 mm or ovality of necks more than 0,03 mm and also if on necks there are teases and risks.

Grinding of necks. Grind radical and conrod necks, reducing by 0,25 mm so that to receive, depending on wear degree, diameters corresponding to the values given to tab. 3-2, 3-3, and radiuses of galtel of necks as it is specified fig. 3-35.


After grinding and the subsequent operational development of necks well wash out a bent shaft for removal of the remains of an abrasive. Several times wash out channels for lubricant with remote caps gasoline under pressure. On the first cheek of a bent shaft mark the size of reduction of radical and conrod necks (for example K 0,25; Ш 0,50).
Ovality and conicity of radical and conrod necks after grinding have to be no more than 0,007 mm.
