5.1.2. Definition of a condition of details of a forward suspension bracket

At each maintenance, and also at repair it is necessary to check surely a condition of protective covers of spherical hinges of a suspension bracket, paying special attention to lack of mechanical damages of covers. Find out whether is not present on details of a suspension bracket of cracks or traces of a zadevaniye against road obstacles or a body, deformations of a rotary fist, an axis of the lower lever, levers of a suspension bracket, cross-piece and elements of a front of a body, and also check a gap in the top spherical hinge and a condition of the lower spherical hinge.
Deformation of an axis of the lower lever is defined by survey.
Deformation of a cross-piece of a forward suspension bracket is checked in the following order:

— turn off nuts of fastening of axes of the lower levers so that in the received gap between a remote washer of 28 (fig. 5-1) and a privalochny surface of a cross-piece the caliper leg closely to a core of a forward bolt was located;
— measure cross-piece length between the planes of installation of axes of the lower levers (left and right) in a zone of forward bolts. The distance has to be 611±1 mm.
If the cross-piece is deformed so that the angles of installation of wheels do not give in to adjustment — replace a cross-piece.
The condition of rubber-metal hinges is checked in the following order:
— be convinced of lack of deformation of levers of a suspension bracket, axis of the lower lever, a cross-piece, and then you will hang out forward wheels of the car;

— measure the radial shift And (fig. 5-2) of the external plug 2 of rather internal plug 6 and distance In between an external washer 5 and an external end face of the external plug 2.
Rubber-metal hinges are subject to replacement:
— at gaps and unilateral "vypuchivaniye" of rubber;
— if radial shift And exceeds 2,5 mm;
— if the size B does not keep within within 3–7,5 mm for the lower lever, 1,5–5 mm — for the top lever.
If the size B goes beyond the specified limits, check correctness of a press fitting of the rubber-metal hinge in lever nests.
Wear of rubber-metal hinges is one of the reasons of impossibility of adjustment of disorder of wheels when all washers from under an axis of the lower lever are removed.
The gap in the top spherical hinges is checked by means of adaptation 02.8701.9500 in the following order:
— install the car on the flat horizontal platform with a hard coating, lift the right forward part of the car and remove a wheel;

— substitute a wooden block of 10 (fig. 5-3) 190 mm high under the lower spherical hinge and lower on it the car;
— install the plug 9 on a nut of the bolt of fastening of the top hinge, next to a casing, put on the plug the basis 8 and slightly fix it by the screw 4;
— moving adaptation, establish a rychazhok 3 in vertical position so that its lower end rested against the protection cover 2 brakes, and tighten the screw 4;
— install in a basis rack the 8th indicator 7 against the stop of his leg in a rychazhok 3 with a tightness of 2-3 mm and tighten a bolt 6;
— attach an arm 16 to a nave 15 two bolts of fastening of a wheel, put on a dynamometer key 1 a six-sided head of an axis of an arm 16 and the moment of 196 N · m (20 kgfs · l) turn a key to the car and from it, summarize both indications of the indicator;
— total indications of the indicator should not exceed 0,8 mm;
— repeat operations for a suspension bracket of the left forward wheel.
The condition of the lower spherical hinges is checked in the following order:
— install the car on the flat horizontal platform with a hard coating and, having lifted the right forward part of the car, remove a wheel;

— put under a nave of 1 (fig. 5-4) a wooden block 5 280 mm high and lower on it the car, clear the lower part of the hinge of dust and dirt and turn out a conic stopper;
— measure a caliper depth gage the 4th distance of h as shown in the scheme;
— repeat operations for a suspension bracket of the left forward wheel.
If mm hі11,3, remove the hinge from the car and carefully examine. On the case of the hinge there should not be cracks, and in lubricant — dirt. In the presence of dirt in lubricant, cracks on the hinge case, and also at mm hі11,8 — replace the hinge.
