6.2.4. Dismantling and assembly of the top shaft of steering

Dismantling. Turn off a coupling bolt of a fork of the cardan hinge and separate an intermediate and top shaft of steering.

At damage of the top shaft or its bearings to a razvaltsuyta of the place of a kernovka of a pipe of an arm also take out from a pipe a shaft 13 (see fig. 6-1) assembled with bearings 10.
If the shaft rotates in bearings without jamming and in bearings the axial and radial free wheeling is not felt, dismantling of the top shaft of steering is not recommended.
At wear or damage of a shaft or its bearings replace them new.
You make assembly as it should be, the return to dismantling. Then to a zakernita in two points on both sides an arm pipe to fix shaft bearings.
