7.3. Arm of pedals of coupling and brake
Removal and installation. To remove an arm of pedals:
— remove a steering shaft arm as it is specified in the section "Steering";

— disconnect a pusher of the vacuum amplifier from a brake pedal, having removed a lock bracket of 26 (fig. 7-7) and having taken out a finger 24;
— turn off nuts, the fixing vacuum amplifier and the main cylinder of coupling to an arm;
— turn off nuts of fastening of an arm to a body and remove an arm, having disconnected wires from switching off of a stoplight.
Carry out installation in the return sequence. At the same time you watch correctness of installation of a pusher in a nest on the piston of the main cylinder of coupling.
Dismantling and assembly. For dismantling remove a spring of the 14th servo-driver of a pedal of coupling, remove ottyazhny springs 8 and 17, turn off a nut 2 bolts 20, take out a bolt and remove pedals together with plugs.
For removal and installation of springs use A.70017 adaptation.
You carry out assembly upside-down. At assembly grease with jellied LITOL-24 lubricant of the plug of pedals, the ends of springs, junctions of pushers with pedals and the end of a pusher adjoining to the piston of the main cylinder of coupling.
Check and repair. At hard movement of pedals examine working surfaces of pedals, plugs and an axis.
If superficial risks or traces of oxidation on surfaces of metal parts are found, wipe them with a grinding fine-grained skin; replace worn-out external plastic plugs of pedals new.
Check elasticity of springs. Length of an ottyazhny spring of a pedal of a brake has to be: under effort of 12,7±1,96 N (1,3±0,2 kgfs) — 80 mm, under effort of 117,6±5,9 N (12±0,6 kgfs) — 160 mm.
Since 1996 on the car instead of an ottyazhny spring 8 (see fig. 7-7) pedals of a brake the spring 17 pedals of coupling, identical and interchangeable with an ottyazhny spring, is established; parameters of check of elasticity of a spring same, as well as for an ottyazhny spring of a pedal of coupling
The Ottyazhny spring of a pedal of coupling has length: under effort of 32,3+3,9-1,9 N (3,3+0,4–0,2 kgfs) — 130 mm, under effort of 45+4,4-2,4 N (4,6+0,45–0,25 kgfs) — 155 mm. Coupling servo-driver spring length under effort of 200±19,6 N (20,4±2 kgfs) has to be 120 mm, under effort of 586±58,8 N (59,9±6 kgfs) — 152 mm.
