Check and editing of details and elements of a body in most cases is required on emergency cars.

Control of geometry of points of fastening of knots of the chassis (fig. 9-28), and also check of control points of a body floor (fig. 9-29) can be executed on installation for control and repair of bodies (fig. 9-30).
Editing of the deformed bodies can be carried out by means of devices for editing. Adaptation is fixed on an installation frame from the deformed part of a body.
At installation deformations are eliminated:
— body floor;
— forward and back longerons;
— mudguards of forward wings;
— forward and central racks;
— trunk floor;
— panels of a front and back of a body;
— external and internal arches of back wheels.
Damages of a body can be the most various. Therefore rules of repair in each separate case have to be, the most suitable for these damages.
Almost in all cases of damages it is necessary to remove some details to find damages, to correct and verify a body. Remove all easily removable internal obivochny parts cases of serious damages to facilitate measurement, control and installation of hydraulic or screw jacks for elimination of distortions and deflections.

Editing it is necessary to restore the initial linear sizes of a skeleton of a body. The diagonal sizes of apertures of windows have to make for a wind window (fig. 9-31) 1375±4 mm, for back — 1322+4–2 mm. Distances between flanges of apertures of windows on an axis of the car have to be equal for a wind window 537+3 mm, for back — 509+3 mm.
The difference of the diagonal sizes of apertures of wind and back windows, and also apertures of a cowl, trunk lid of one body should not exceed 2 mm.
Most often at repair of a skeleton replacement of wings, panels of a roof, front and back is required. Methods of replacement and repair of these details can be taken as a basis at repair and other details of a body. It is necessary to know an arrangement of welded seams also.
